PRESIDENT'S PEN  I
want to thank the Barrels & Poles, Roughstock, Calves &
Steers
committees for all their hard work on the clinics that they have put on
this year. The Student Board is putting on a toy drive for Cooks
Children's Hospital and I challenged the Adult Board to
participate....now I'm challenging all members and sponsors to bring a
toy also.
As Thanksgiving approached, please remember out troops around the world and you and your family. Have a blessed day. God Bless, Mike  And the Student Board says..... Well, so far this year, I have seen a lot of good things happening around North Texas. The Student Board is planning a New Year's Eve Dance and lock-in. There will be a DJ from 8:30 to 12:30. If you plan on leaving then you must leave at midnight (city curfew) and sign out. We will have security there for everyone's protection. Hopefully everyone will come join us and have a great time. Christmas Cards
We will be sending Christmas
Cards to injured soldiers and any soldier serving our country during
the holiday season. The cards are available to sign at the Myers
Photography table until December 9, 2007. If you have someone near and
dear to you serving in the military, please send us their full military
address so that we can add them to our mailing list.
Christmas Parade
December 1, 2007 Parade starts at 4 pm Everyone needs to meet at 2:30 pm Meeting place: At the stockyards beside Billy Bob's on the dirt lot. The more people, the more fun we will have. All teams are welcome to bring their team flags to fly during the parade. RELEASE From time to time, the Pony Express will post photos of NTHSRA students in the monthly publications. In order for your child's picture to be published, we need a release form. Please sign and return the form the to NTHSRA office. Forms are located in the sponsors' boxes and in the rodeo secretary's office. Thank you SPECIAL THANKS The North Texas Board would like to thank Devon Energy for their support in the Appreciation Dinner for Tarrant County's Pct. 4 for all the wonderful things they have done over the years for NTHSRA. Also a big thanks to Carol Key and Linda Brock for all their help obtaining all the great door prizes. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS Because everyone here at North Texas is like one big family and we care about what goes on with one another, the Public Relations Committee would like to introduce a new section to this year's Pony Express. This section "Thoughts and Prayers" is open to any and all that we would like to remind each other to keep in our daily thoughts and prayers for whatever reason. If you have someone that you would like to mention and remind us to say an extra prayer or two for, please contact the Public Relations Committee. If at all possible, we encourage you to please seek permission from those you are asking us to remember!
